I am a therapist in the process of changing careers to become a nurse-midwife. I have worked as a preschool teacher, private nanny, and childcare provider for infants 6 weeks-children aged five. I adore caring for children and being a safe adult for their formative years to help develop secure attachment, which will benefit their mental health for the rest of their lives. I'd describe my personality as calm, gentle, and steady. I like working with kids because they are such pure and joyful little sponges, so ready to learn and love. In my spare time, I like to play roller derby, paint (I am a professional artist), read books, dream up nerdy cosplay ideas, and hang out with my cats and chickens. One thing you should know about me is I am social justice minded and am allied with marginalized and oppressed communities. My skills include helping children develop healthy emotional regulation, getting fussy sleepers to sleep, and building safe and healthy attachment.
