About Sam

I've been caring for children for most of my life, starting as a preteen in my church's nursery, and continuing through years of babysitting. I worked professionally as a behavioral interventionist, where I supported children--many who were autistic or needed extra guidance--by helping them reach their individual behavior and emotional regulation goals. I've also worked as substitute teacher. Supporting kids in these settings taught me how to meet each kid where they are. I am calm and compassionate childcare provider. I aim to create an environment where kids feel safe, respected, and confident. I enjoy engaging activities, so I am willing to help with homework and facilitate outdoor play and crafts! I'm also willing to do light housekeeping and snack/meal preparation.
