About Samantha

I am an animal lover! I've taken care of cats and dogs of all ages for over 25 years. I am most experienced with cats, and currently volunteer weekly with Cat Care and Control. I also have limited experience caring for livestock, including cows, goats, pigs, and sheep. Our family has always had cats, and we currently have two of our own at home! I love curling up with a good book and a cat on my lap. Whether I'm caring for cats or dogs, I like to ensure they have plenty of enrichment by playing with toys, offering treats, or going on walks. When I care for others' pets, I treat them as if they were my own. I like to know whether they have favorite toys, if they take medication or have a special diet, and if they have a favorite place to go for walks. I currently work at a women's shelter every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday 3-11pm), and nanny for a family on Tuesdays 12-4 and Wednesdays 9-4.
