About Samantha

Hi! My name is Samantha and I have lived in the Tampa Bay area my whole life. I grew up in Hyde Park and went to St. John's for 10 years. After that I attended Plant High School then moved to Gainesville to study at the University of Florida. While I'm an only child, I grew up in a large extended family with many younger cousins and was always the helping hand when it came to babysitting them. Aside from watching my little cousins, I assisted one of my neighbors with their homework after school, as well as babysitting her and her younger sister on occasion. In addition to babysitting jobs, I was a volunteer camp counselor every summer from 7th grade till the end of high school at SJE's Eaglet camp. There I assisted the teacher's in supervising the children (ages 4-6 yrs) with educational and recreational activities. Freshman year of college, I volunteered at a daycare assisting with 6-18-month aged children, and senior year I worked in childcare at church (ages 8 mth-7 yrs).
