About Samantha

Hello :) I recently moved to Reno after working in New Mexico as a mental health therapist facilitating outdoor adventure therapy for youth and families for 8 years. I love working with kids because they are the future! I want to be a positive influence and encourage them to be their most courageous and authentic selves. My strongest relational skills include setting and enforcing boundaries, creative play, and attunement. I also am always down to clean and cook healthy meals. I'd describe my personality as playful, direct, and warm. I am relatively unconventional- I identify as queer, have tattoos and leftist politics. And I am open and curious about all perspectives and experiences! In my spare time, I like to dance, make art, listen to music, play outside, cook with friends, and volunteer for mutual aid orgs.
