About Samantha

My name is Samantha, and I have been a university instructor of Political Science at CU B for 10 years. With flexibility in my teaching schedule - and considerations of a potential career change - I am seeking caregiving roles. My growing passion for caregiving is, in part, a result of helping take care of my ailing father, who suffered from ALS. With the help of my family, I ran errands, assisted in housekeeping and meal prep, provided light medical assistance (e. g., assisted with feeding tube, help with respirators), and performed any tasks my father needed assistance with as he lost the ability to move his body. As a teacher, compassion and the desire to help others is a strong motivational factor in my life. I genuinely take an interest in others and enjoy helping remove obstacles to their goals. Outside of work, I am an avid film watcher, dabble in publishing poetry, and spend time with my husband and two dogs.
