About Samantha

Hi, my name is Samantha! Along with 7 years of nannying experience, I have also taught at MIT Technology Childcare Center. Currently I work part time for a family taking care of their 19-month-old & 6-year-old. Although I specialize in individuals with disabilities and the toddler age range, I love working with all families. I prefer to take a Montessori approach with child-centered learning. I believe children are capable of such amazing things so I am always working on new ways that I can help them discover this. By teaching ASL I've found that those who I am caring for can achieve their goals easier whether it be potty training or requesting specific foods. When caring for children I love to help them learn in fun ways such as art projects that improve hand/eye coordination or introducing STEM through nature! I'm extremely active so I like to get outside as much as possible however nannying throughout the pandemic allowed me to come up with engaging indoor activities too.
