About Samantha

I highly recommend Samantha aka ‘Mama Harriger’ as your next nanny for your children. For the last two years, Samantha has been caring for our kids while we are away for work during the day. When we first started with Samantha, we were just coming out of COVID lockdown and our daughter had spent more than half of her life in a ‘COVID bubble’. At around 18 months, her speech was delayed and she had severe separation anxiety. There were a lot of tears in the early days, but Samantha was very patient with our daughter. She kept an open line of communication with us and constantly reported back with research she had found to help ease her transition to childcare while we are away at work. After just three months, our daughter started learning new words and became so happy and comfortable that she would look forward to spending her mornings and afternoons with Samantha! She even started referring to Samantha as Mama Harriger, which warmed our hearts and provided a great comfort knowing our daughter felt loved and secure while under the watch of a dedicated caregiver. We then had another daughter who is now one. We also credit Samantha with how far our youngest has come, including speech! Samantha shows a level of love, patience and skill caring for children that is unmatched by any other caregiver I have heard about while talking amongst peers who have their children signed up for childcare through various places. She is kind yet firm with the boundaries she sets for the kids and always manages to make even the rainy indoor days a magical day for them. She is thoughtful in the care she provides and even finds ways to instill age appropriate skill building and teachable lessons through everyday play. Samantha is an excellent communicator and was always very open and thorough with any concerns regarding the kids, a testament to her attention to detail when it comes to her level of care for them. When it comes to selecting a nanny to be a part of your child’s foundational years, I can’t make a higher recommendation than one for Mama Harriger. The only reason we are regretfully ending our daily care with her is due to scheduling conflict with our work schedules.
