Hello! My name is Samantha, and I recently left my career of 9 years in an elementary setting to stay home with my 3 1/2-year-old son. I have an Early Childhood Development degree and years of experience working in pre-k and elementary schools. I am CPR certified, have reliable transportation. Many factors led to the switch to being home with my son but I am looking to care for one or two additional children on a part-time basis here at my home. I love creating a fun, nurturing environment filled with play, learning, outdoor time, reading, and age-appropriate activities. I also know how challenging it can be to find childcare that is both flexible and affordable. I am very flexible with my rates and am happy to work with families to find an arrangement that unuiquly fits their needs and ours. I have known Samantha through church since she was born. For 6 years, from 7th grade through high school, I was her Sunday School teacher. I have seen her organize outings, plan parties, and show competent leadership in numerous ways. She has accepted leadership roles in Girl Scouts, at church, and in college. She not only does these things well, she accepts responsibility eagerly. She is fun-loving, compassionate, thoughtful, mature, and sensitive to the needs of others. My husband is extremely comfortable with him and goes out of her way to be friendly. My husband feels she treats him better than many other people do.
