About Salma

Our experience with Salma is very positive, although I think it's important to understand the type of care our father will accept. My father is in his 80s, has dementia, and is very resistant to personal care, housekeeping, and anyone handling his belongings. While we hoped he would allow more assistance with bathing, laundry, and cleaning, those decisions were ultimately his, and no caregiver was going to be able to force him. What Salma did exceptionally well was meet him where he was. She treated him with kindness, patience, and respect, spending time talking with him, accompanying him on errands, and providing the companionship he was willing to accept. She genuinely cared about his well-being and never created unnecessary conflict or distress by pushing him beyond what he would tolerate. She is dependable, compassionate, and genuinely cares about his well-being. When she felt one of her staff member’s personality and communication style might be an even better fit for my father's needs, she was honest with us and helped make that transition. I appreciated her professionalism and her concern for ensuring he receives the best care possible. I would gladly recommend Salma, or her staff, to families looking for a kind, dependable, and compassionate companion caregiver. Our family is grateful for the on-going care and friendship she provides to our father.
