About Sakeenah

I have been professionally working with children since 2020, both domestically as a babysitter and abroad (Austria) as an au pair. I find the experience of working with children incredibly fun and personally rewarding. They are always teaching me new things about myself! My two greatest passions in life are music and mindfulness. I approach my work with children through a creative, patient, and emotionally-grounded perspective as a result. I want the children I work with to feel comfortable being themselves, communicating their needs, and reaching for the stars! In my spare time, I like to sing, practice yoga, walk, hike, spend time outdoors in the sun, read, draw, and paint. I really enjoy doing anything creative, and I will happily include the children in my hobbies. My skills include encouraging positive behavior & emotional regulation, encouraging creativity (music lessons, arts & crafts, storytelling), and helping with homework/academic routines.
