Special needs are exactly that, Special, your loved one is a neurodivine being who deserves all the love and care provided to any child with a sprinkle of extra joy. I was diagnosed at 5 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and my first techs were US Marines; that went about as well as one would expect, and I gave me a drive to provide care driven by heart and growth. While not every Neurodivine being is able to grow past the need for assistance, all of my care is driven by this one concept , I am in the job, to be out of the job, if one day no one needed my help then I will have accomplished what I've set out to do, but I'll settle for a smile or a moment that you never thought would come.
