About Safoorah

Hi, I'm Safoorah! I'm a Computer Science and Applied Math major at UC Davis with 10+ years of tutoring experience. I specialize in math, science, and English, working with students from elementary school through college. I tutor all levels of math-from elementary basics to algebra, geometry, precalculus, AP Calculus, and college courses like Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Math. I also cover science (elementary, middle school, and high school chemistry) and English (reading, writing, and grammar). I've helped students with SAT prep and college applications, including personal statements-many of whom were accepted into top UCs. I've worked with diverse learners, including underrepresented communities through Elevate Tutoring, in one-on-one and classroom settings. To me, tutoring is about more than academics-it's about building confidence, encouraging a growth mindset, and helping students find what works for them. With the right support, anything is possible!
