About Sadie

I'd describe my personality as patient, joyful, and creative! I love working with kids because they remind me of how much wonder is in our world. Children are so naturally curious, they inspire me to enjoy life! I'm looking for a job that is part-time while I finish my Master's of Science in Education. I'm hoping to work with families who also appreciate outdoor time and creativity! I started working with children 8 years ago through AmeriCorps. I've worked as an educator with all ages since then, but my favorite role has been as a Preschool teacher. In my spare time, I love being outside, whether gardening or taking nature walks. I also enjoy crafting and playing with my dog! One thing you should know about me is that I'm Montessori trained and believe in "freedom within limits": Following the child's interests and needs within safe boundaries. My skills include co-regulation, leading outdoor activities, and finding creative ways to avoid too much screen time!
