About Sadia

Hi! My name is Sadia , I am a 61-year-old mother of 5 who started as a nanny here in the DC area when I arrived to the United States from my home country of Somalia at 26 years old. I served as both in-home and out of home nanny for several families for over 33 years, all while raising my 5 (now adults!) kids. I have worked for a variety of families with demanding schedules, including military families, many of whom I remained in touch with and have seen build their own families. And when I switched to part-time, as I raised my 5, I cared for children and families like they were an extension of my own. I am flexible and adaptable, always ready to help however you see fit - and I can't wait to get to know you, your children, and build a care plan that works. I always offer potential families the opportunity to get to know myself and my family, so I am open to interviewing however you see fit. Thank you!
