About Ryder

I'd describe my personality as bold, kind, and whimsical. I'm not afraid to be myself and I'm always willing to help someone out even if there's conflict. I'm imaginative and creative and use that to my advantage when possible. My paid and volunteer work with kids started 10 years ago when I was a teenager in high school. I have mentored kids with special needs more specifically kids with verbal and non verbal level 2 and level 3 Autism. I've taught creative arts related classes at two separate community centers for ages 7-15 and I was an afterschool/daycare assistant for kids ages 7-13. My top child care skills include college level education on early to late childhood development, willingness to learn and understand a child's behavior/wants/needs/routines, collaboration with parents or caregivers to create one cohesive environment, and experience with food allergy preparation and other dietary restrictions.
