About Ryan

I love combining my passions for nature and art making to create engaging experiences for young children. If your child wants to build a fairy house, jump in puddles, or make their own treasure map, I can't wait to help them follow their hearts. My approach is a balance of freedom, exploring curiosities, and safety. A kid once asked me "why do you love safety so much?" I believe in social emotion learning, regulation (and co-regulation) skills. I understand the importance of routines in children's lives. I am patient and flexible while still maintaining boundaries. I am a good communicator. I have a bachelor's in Fine Art, a Masters in Education, and a teaching license to work with children ages birth through 8 years old. I have experience working in art centers, nature based educatiobal programs, early childhood education programs, elementary schools, and family and teen shelters.
