During my career, I have worked with children and teens diagnosed with spectrum disorders. I have acquired a true passion and enjoyment for working with the ASD population. I have worked in various settings including home respite care. I worked for a family who required after school assistance for their relatively low functioning teenage boy with autism. I cooked, shopped and exercised with him. I am presently working at a Mental Health Center as a Family Spectrum Outreach Specialist. Here, I work with an age group varying from 3 to 19 years old. I work in the home, the community, and attend school IEP meetings. I am trained in ABA and have worked with children and teens using electronic communication devices. I am an honest and trustworthy person, who has a genuine liking in working with children and teens.
