About Rya

Supporting students in their learning and confidence-building has been a meaningful part of my time with Engage San Francisco Literacy through the University of San Francisco. Since Fall 2023, I've worked as a tutor and teacher's aide in elementary classrooms, providing one-on-one and small-group support in reading and core academic skills for kids in TK-5th grade. Through this experience, I've learned how to meet students wherever they are in their academic journey, encourage growth, and create a positive and engaging learning environment. I'm patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping children feel capable and motivated to learn in school. Working closely with teachers has strengthen my ability to support diverse learning styles and build strong relationships with students. I am proud to have been part of a program dedicated to educational equity and student success.
