Ruth was hired as a hands on caregiver for hygiene, meds, activities and companionship. She was almost never punctual. We gave her grace. Delayed start date, more delays ensued. Still I gave her grace. She took my patience kindness and grace for weakness. Ruth put in little to no effort after conversations that she would try. She proved she didn’t care. She scrolled her phone a lot and rode the clock to ensure she got her full time in regardless. After not accomplishing anything, her hours were cut. Notice came. I was prepared and terminated Ruth immediately.
