About Ruth

I'd describe my personality as warm, patient, and empathic. I like working with kids because I'm fascinated by how they learn through experiences! I'm looking for a job that offers an opportunity to work with 1-2 babies or young children during school day hours for a family committed to screen-free play. I started working with kids when I was a teenage babysitter! I babysat for my college professors' children while getting my BM in Violin Performance and worked as a full-time nanny when my own daughter was ages 0-6. In my spare time, I like to read, attend concerts/museums, bake, and go hiking. One thing you should know about me is I am an Early Childhood Music teacher! I also run a nonprofit for student musicians to engage in Arts Activism. My skills include establishing a daily routine, time management, awareness and knowledge of child development.
