About Ruthie

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. I worked as an instructional assistent in and elementary school for two years and worked with K-6th grade doing small reading groups. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, and I focus on building their confidence while fostering a genuine love for learning. By actively listening and observing how a student interacts with new material, I adapt my approach to how they learn best. When concepts feel challenging, I break them into manageable steps and celebrate small successes to maintain momentum. I prioritize clear, consistent communication to ensure we are always working toward shared goals. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a new skill.
