About Ruth

I'm currently a second-grade teacher, located in East Austin. I've also worked at a preschool for 3 years where I cared for waddlers, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-K kids. I have experience working with children who have special needs as well, which has helped me learn how to adapt to each child's individual needs. With that being said, the work I did at the preschool (Rise School of Austin) has provided me years of experience with changing diapers, naps, and providing snacks/meals. Along with play experience. I have babysat a few times the children at the preschool, but mostly worked with them during the school days. I have strong skills in patience, communication, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities. My background in education has given me a solid understanding of child development, behavior management, and routines. I'm comfortable helping with homework, keeping kids engaged, and making sure they feel safe and cared for.
