I'm Ruth, a 35-year-old educator and mom to a 1-year-old girl. I have over 15 years of experience as a preschool teacher, nanny, and Spanish tutor. I hold an AA in Child Development and an AA in Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about helping children grow while supporting parents as a trusted partner.

I run a safe and nurturing home-away-from-home where children can thrive. Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia, our days include storytelling, art, sensory play, music, outdoor activities, language development, and bilingual exposure. My goal is to nurture each child's unique interests while supporting milestones and social growth.

Credentials: Background check completed, CPR/First Aid certified, certified in infant CPR and choking interventions, certified in sleep training, non-smoker.

The most thoughtful understanding flexible and caring person, don’t think I would have ever left anyone with my son until he was 18 years old if it wasn’t for Ruth and showing me you can trust and babies will learn to love leaving you and home. Ruth gave us such a warm, loving, rewarding experience with our son and would take her with me anywhere we move if I could! 

We’ve been blessed to have Ruth as our full-time nanny since our son was just a baby, and now he’s almost 4. Ruth is caring, supportive, and incredibly hard working. She’s always prompt and professional, and we’ve trusted her completely with our child’s care.

Beyond keeping him safe and happy, Ruth has played a big role in his development—she engages him with educational activities, nurtures his curiosity, and even teaches him Spanish. Our son absolutely adores her, and we couldn’t ask for a better partner in his early years.

Ruth is part of our family!  She spent four years FT and PT caring for and loving my twin daughters (4-8yo  at the time).  Her expertise in childhood development and authentic curiosity for children was instrumental in helping them grow.  As a widower I was so grateful for providing an adult, positive, woman's influence for the girls in helping them to build their confidence and find joy, in spite of the loss of their mom.  

Now though we live a thousand miles away, my daughters still love catching up with Ruth via video call and she always is deeply interested in their continued growth and development.

Ruth is absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend her highly enough.  She looked after our two boys (18 months and 3.5 years) for 4 months.  We are sad we could have her with us forever, but we had to move back to London. Ruth is a confident and caring nanny.  She really understands children. She brought out the best in our kids- they were more kind, caring and confident because of her.  The kids adore her. I would often ask Ruth for suggestions when I hit parenting roadblocks because she was so knowledgeable (she takes additional classes on things like child development and sleep training because it interests her so much).  She taught our kids Spanish with ease and created fun/imaginative activities and projects everyday. We worked from home and having Ruth integrated in our family routine was easy.  She took charge, but was very respectful of the things we found important.  She is an absolute gem.  Whatever family she ends up working with next her will be incredibly lucky!

Ruth is such a positive impact on our lives. She went above and beyond in her care for our toddler boys (3.5 and 1.5) - managing their schedules and the transition to preschool,  planning fun activities, and recommending changes to help our sons thrive. Her experience is invaluable. She would anticipate ours sons needs and we trust her to act without needing oversight. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be lucky to work with Ruth!

Ruth lead our nanny-pod for year and taught our girls so much. If we were to go back to an in-home daycare/pod, Ruth would be the first person we call. She always provided tons of photos and updates on activities so we always knew what was going on, and took a Montessori approach with lots of outdoor time that we really loved.

Highly recommend her. Ruth knows what she's doing, she is knowledgeable and experienced. She helped us a few years ago with our two daughters (6 and 2). 6yo was a handful, 2yo the sweetest girl ever. Ruth often had activities for them or knew what places to visit. She was always on time and she's also an excellent driver.

Ruth provided a peace of mind for our family. She not only took care of our baby, but also loved her as her own. Ruth is caring, fun and patient -VERY patient-.

Ruth was our nanny for 2 years. She cared for our blended family, ages new born, through 11 years of age. Ruth was extremely flexible and easy to work with. Her communication was very open and transparent. Ruth has an amazing way with teaching children. You have to experience it and see her in action! Ruth also spoke Spanish to our younger children. Ruth is extremely patient, gentle and kind. After almost 10 years since she worked for our family, Ruth is still very much a part of our family. We miss her dearly!

Ms. Ruth was the teacher for our 3 family pod of 2 yo girls. Ms. Ruth was so caring and loving with each of them. She was very attentive to their social emotional well being, encouraging bilingual learning, and prepared them well for preschool. The girls still talk about their lessons with Ms. Ruth. When I took my little one to her first day of Pre-K 3, she told the other kids who were having a tough time with drop off, "Ms. Ruth said 'moms and dads always come back.'" Ms.Ruth has a very special gift for teaching and caring for the littlest ones.

Our daughter loves Ruth! She's so engaged during play time and believes exploration is vital  to learning. Ruth also has a great deal of patience and helped with behavioral issues, potty training, etc. Highly recommend.
