Hello! I'm Ruth. I'm 30 years old, a native Spanish speaker, and a teacher by profession. I have babysat more than I have been teaching in a classroom. With these two experiences combined, and over 11 years in the field, more than a teacher or a babysitter, I consider myself a nurturing educator. I have experience working with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. Still, I have the most experience with toddlers/preschoolers (yes, I know how to potty train. Picky eaters? I got you! Temper tantrums? I've seen it all!). On my day-to-day duties, I like providing children with a routine. Having the routine established, we head over to the fun part. I like going places like different parks, libraries, or play dates (Covid restrictions apply). Also, based on my observations about their interests and skills, I create activities and projects to expand their knowledge.

Ruth is part of our family! She spent four years FT and PT caring for and loving my twin daughters (4-8yo at the time). Her expertise in childhood development and authentic curiosity for children was instrumental in helping them grow. As a widower I was so grateful for providing an adult, positive, woman's influence for the girls in helping them to build their confidence and find joy, in spite of the loss of their mom. Now though we live a thousand miles away, my daughters still love catching up with Ruth via video call and she always is deeply interested in their continued growth and development.
