About Ruby

I'm a student at PSU, working on a BA with a major in Anthropology with an Indigenous emphasis. I work with another family in the morning Tuesday/Thursday and am hoping to find a family looking for after school care! I've had over 5 years of childcare experience in many types of fields. I've been an assistant teacher at a daycare for a year and a half, a nanny for many families with ages ranging from newborn to 3rd graders, and a Montessori classroom assistant teacher for 6 months before I moved to Portland! CPR and first aid certified, as well as having experience working with allergies. Hoping to peruse a Montessori certification once I have completed my BA and strongly align with their values. My favorite ages to work with are toddlers and first graders (I love a good question:) but of course am excited for every new opportunity that comes my way!
