About Ruby

Learning should be an exciting journey, not a chore. With a graduate degree and three years of experience, I'm a certified teacher passionate about helping students thrive in English, test preparation, and study skills. I work with elementary, middle, and high school students. I tailor my approach to each student's unique learning style, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and open discussions. I also connect challenging topics to real-world examples. I actively listen to students and provide regular updates to parents. I am experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). I love to celebrate small successes and build confidence. I am comfortable working at your home, online, a library, or a coffee shop. Plus, I have a car and am comfortable with pets. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of my work. I am CPR and First Aid trained. I speak English and Spanish.
