About Ruby

I'd describe my personality as patient, enthusiastic, and generous. I like working with kids because I love being able to provide stable support and be a positive influence for the most precious minds in my community. I started working with kids when I was just a tween! I started working as a "mother's helper" around age 12. I then took a babysitting CPR and first aid class at 13 so that I could start caregiving independently. In my spare time, I like to craft and create artwork, play my bass guitar, and explore Oregon's natural beauty with my friends. My skills include help with all hygiene tasks (I worked with senior citizens in an assisted living facility, so I definitely know my way around human waste), meal prep and cleaning (I've worked in food service before and love to pick up as I go to minimize clean up time), and making safety fun! (I was a swim instructor for 5 years, so I love making safety skills into fun games that kids are more receptive to)
