About Rubi

As a college student, I'm passionate about helping children build confidence and discover that learning can be enjoyable. My strongest interests are English, especially creative writing, and the sciences. But I'm happy to support elementary and middle school students with math as well. Working as a swim instructor with children ages 4-13 taught me that every child learns differently. I learned to be patient, encouraging, and flexible, adapting my approach to fit each child's unique learning style and pace. Whether it's breaking concepts into smaller steps or finding creative ways to explain them, my goal is to help children feel capable and confident. I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. I also value open communication with families and look forward to helping your child succeed.
