About Ruanne

Hi! My name is Ruanne, and I graduated from UCLA and am now a Doctoral student in the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program at Tufts University! My related experience includes an earned Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and coursework in Child Development. Specifically, I've earned 85+ hours of fieldwork in curriculum planning; helping lead fun, educational lessons; and storytelling to 2-5-year-old children. I also have experience in planning developmentally appropriate learning plans that positively promote children's fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, cognitive development, and socio-emotional development. Additionally, I've been a tutor to elementary children for 5+ years and have also been an advisor to teens. I've also been a pediatric OT volunteer, where I assisted OTs and their pediatric clients in tasks such as developing motor coordination, self-care/hygiene, feeding, behavior, self-regulation, play, and socialization.
