About Roy

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With 10 years of experience as a Certified teacher, I specialize in creating supportive, personalized learning environments for elementary and middle school students. I hold a graduate degree and maintain active certifications in Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Student accommodation plans (504). I adapt my methods by observing how you interact with new material, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make complex topics manageable. Whether we are tackling Math, Science, or study skills, I focus on building your confidence and celebrating every "aha!" moment. I prioritize open communication with families to ensure we are always working toward your goals. I am happy to travel to your home or a local library to provide the support you need, and I look forward to helping you thrive!
