About Roxanne

Currently I work as a learning specialist, providing intervention in both Math and Reading for grades 6-8. I have 6 years of teaching experience, providing instruction in art, math, English Language Arts, and creative movement. I feel my patience, compassion, and experience make me a great fit for any age group, in addition to my interest in helping all students gain confidence in themselves and in their work. I have previously worked as a therapeutic counselor with teenage girls, as well as a private care provider for several families ages ranging from 1-5. My education includes a M. A. in Dance Education k-12, a B. A. in Psychology and an A. S. in dance performance. I love to apply my creativity to finding new windows of understanding in all subjects whether this means using hands-on manipulatives, movement, or visual aids.
