About Roxanne

Hi! I'm Roxy. I grew up in Austin and graduated from UT this year with a degree in migration and refugee flows. I started babysitting when I was 11 and have since held positions as a nanny, a childcare provider at a pilates studio, and a tutor both in-person at an under-resourced middle school and for distance-learning during the COVID school shutdown. My last job was as a part-time nanny for a 20month old who is now somehow 4 and ready to start pre-school full-time! Sad for me, but it has been an amazing experience to watch her grow from a baby into a bold, silly, and kind little human. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are bake, read together, work on art projects, and get outside to the park or playground. I believe in instilling a sense of compassion, independence, and social justice in children from a young age by creating an environment where they feel loved, heard, and supported.
