In addition to being the mother of an 18-year-old and the stepmother to an 11-year-old, I've also had experience as a nanny to 2-year-old twin boys with special needs. I have also worked as an ABA therapist for children with autism. I began substitute teaching when my daughter started kindergarten and I loved it so much that I eventually got a full-time job with the Mt. Pleasant public school district as a special-ed Paraprofessional. I have worked with children of all ages and honestly nothing brings me more joy than engaging with kids! I absolutely love watching them explore their environment, seeing things from their perspective, and helping guide them make good choices in this world.
