I'd describe my personality as warm, compassionate and strong. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy getting to know them. I'm experienced and easy to get along with. I have a kind disposition that makes me a good match as seniors feel they have a friend not just a companion. I'm looking for a job that is a good match for both of us and can help bring routine and a sense of calm to their life, helping provide respite to the families for 10-15 hours on the weekends or evenings. I started caring for seniors more than 15 years ago in nursing homes and continue to care in hospice care. I feel like it really is a calling and brings the best of me to serve others. In my spare time, I like to do creative things like paint, cook, and workout. One thing you should know about me is that I have been caregiver all my life. This is natural role for me as the oldest in my family and as a mother. It's what I do best! My skills include companionship, dementia, and emotional support.
