Hello. I am very interested in the position. I believe that caring for children requires treating them as if they were my own-providing affection, fostering trust, and encouraging independence. I have experience caring for young children and enjoy collaborating with families to meet their specific needs; I am very empathetic toward the families I work with. I spent two years working for a family in McLean, caring for two children: Valentina, whom I looked after from the time she was 5 months old until she was two years and 4 months old, and her brother Antonio, whom I cared for from birth while supporting the family. I got married last May, and we moved to Boyce-near Winchester-so the commute is about an hour and a half to two hours, depending on traffic. However, I still visit the children whenever I can, as we miss each other very much. They would be happy to provide a reference regarding my work performance.
