About Rose

I am an Elementary Ed student at UVA with tutoring experience both in volunteering and paid settings. I've been working with a multilingual 4th grade boy for a bit less than a year, assisting him with reading and writing skills; more specifically, we are working on his decoding, encoding, prosody, reading comprehension, sentence expansion, and more. I have also volunteered at a K-8 school, tutoring young children in reading skills and assisting the Learning Specialist to help children with dyslexia and ADHD. I'm qualified to help elementary and middle schoolers with any subject needed, as well as high schoolers and college students with English, History, study skills, college apps, and writing. This past semester, I took ENWR 3620: Tutoring Writing Across Cultures, a prerequisite course to tutor in the Writing Center. I feel very confident and enthusiastic in assisting with writing!
