About Rosalind

My teaching experience has included students from3-year-olds through junior college ages. While I am an avid reader now, I struggled with dyslexia and learning to read. Math was truly my first language, and I use a wide variety of strategies to help students understand and remember math concepts. I am fascinated by the natural world and am intrigued by whales and wolves and elephants and octopuses. Since I am a nontraditional learner, my focus as a tutor and teacher is to train students to figure out how they learn: graphic/spatial, rhythmic, visual, auditory, musical, or through movement. All kinds of content can be understood and mastered once a person realizes how they learn. My gifts are encouragement and creative problem-solving, and I think every human is a learning and growing being. I am comfortable tutoring in reading, writing, and literature at all levels, and math and science up to middle school.
