I am current with my First Aid and CPR certifications and Medication Assistance. In the past couple of years I've taken and passed courses in Basic and Advanced Care giving. Aspiration Prevention, Caregiver Communication Basics and Advanced, Teamwork Building, Fundamentals of Wound Care, Advocacy for Special Needs. Last 10 months, live in caregiver providing housekeeping, cooking, medication assistance, companionship, and troubleshooting problems. Her quality of life significantly increased under my care. Received letters of recommendation from her hospice team. My client had severe short term memory loss when I began. It has been significantly mitigated through the use of giving her raw organic coconut oil, providing nutritious meals she enjoys, and mental stimulation. Previously, I worked as a live in caregiver for 2 1/2 years for an elderly woman who suffered from early stages of dementia and severe anxiety. I grew up in Montana where there's a strong work ethic.
