About Romey

Athok was with our family for several years while she studied at university, and I cannot express how grateful we are for her care. She helped with all five of our children, and later six, from baby to teenager. She stayed with us many nights and even full weeks when needed. She made our home calm and joyful. She is gentle, patient, smart, and very kind. The children love her like family. She helped with bedtime, meals, newborn care, playtime, and everything in between. She is always respectful of the children and listens to them with heart. Even our shy ones felt safe with her. What I loved most is that she taught the kids without pressure. She brought books, read with them, and made little games for math, writing, and learning new words. She knows many languages and shared them naturally — English, German, Italian, Dinka. The children learned from her in fun ways, without stress. It never felt like school, but they remembered so much. She made summer like a small camp: art projects, nature walks, visits to the library, time outside with no electronics. She planned everything with love and made sure the kids were always active, learning, and happy. No TV, just imagination and nature and good conversation. Athok is completely trustworthy, very organized, and knows how to care for children of all ages at the same time. We always felt at peace knowing she was in our home. She understands how to talk with children, and she respects them deeply. That is rare. If I could have her care for our children forever, I would. You will not find someone more loving, careful, creative, and prepared to help your family. Athok is a gift. We miss her every day.
