We were very fortunate to have Romeo work with my husband for over 2.5 years. As a caregiver, he provided my husband – who has neurodegenerative and mobility issues – with all physical care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication administration - and was very helpful with ambulation and mobility assistance. It is critical we have someone who can help safely transfer him and help him walk - and I never worried when Romeo was looking after him. He worked with my husband’s physical therapists and continued the PT exercises they asked us to do with him. Additionally, he is warm, cheerful and very pleasant. Also, he’s very savvy about a number of household issues and volunteered a lot of what was essentially handyman help. He also was very good with our animals ;-) Romeo was thankfully on the job when we had to evacuate from one of the wildfires last year. I would have had to wait for the Fire Department to get my husband (and six animals!) in his wheelchair into a vehicle…fortunately Romeo was there and somehow – in 90 mph winds! - got him into his SUV. He continued caregiver duties in our hotel for almost 4 months after that. I highly recommend Romeo for anyone needing help navigating physical and cognitive issues: he really understands these and is very patient and kind.
