I'd describe my personality as caring, patient and tech-savvy. I like caring for seniors because they have so many interesting stories to tell! My latest client had me working on a book about her mother's memoirs. It is really fun!! I'm looking for a job with a kind elderly person who is in acceptance of their situation and doesn't mind being helped by me. My last client and I became best friends!! I started caring for seniors over 15+ years ago when my neighbors mom came to live with her and developed dementia. She used different agencies but still preferred me!! In my spare time, I like to make my own greeting cards and be involved with my DAR chapter. I am the chaplain of the George Mason Chapter NSDAR. One thing you should know about me is that I am completely honest! My skills include computer savvy for recording memory books, patience to help in showering, heating up meals, light housekeeping and caring to provide meaningful and enjoyable companionship.

As a neighbor who has known Rose over 40 years, first I can say her integrity and genuine caring are well above any average. As caregiver for my own mother, here in our home , her last 10 years of her almost 103 years, I sometimes had Rose here connect her as one of my supplemental caregivers . Unlike some other caregivers ( who I quit using) Rose always personally engaged with my mother… interacting with her via simple but appropriate activities —- even showing Mom some fun and simple computer activities using pictures. Rose treated my mother with care and respect—- and always tried to follow any special directions I gave. Rose also has a gentle sense of humor to employ if the occasion calls for it. Above all, unlike a few professionals even from agencies, always, I could trust Rose in our home… a truly important factor for anyone leaving both a loved one and their home in her care.
