As I took care of my own mother full time the last 3 1/2 months of her life I learned a compassion I never understood. I was a PCA after that and how rewarding it was. I just returned from Florida where I lived with and cared for a long time friend who is a paraplegic and her husband. My children and grandchildren are here so I returned to Florence. At my last job with an agency I completely maintained a home for two 40 hours a week, Including bathing, skin care and all house hold chores. I have also worked with dementia patients.
