About Robin

I have 2 adult children (one with special needs) who I lovingly raised. I also have 2 grandchildren who I adore babysitting for. While my kids were growing up I volunteered in the schools regularly (grades K-8) to help enrich their education. When they graduated, my love of children led me to take a job at a Preschool. I got CPR certified and trained to work with children with a range of abilities and disabilities. I started as a teacher's assistant, helping children with language expansion, social skills, task execution and behavior management. I was later given the responsibilities of running the After School Program and substitute teaching. As Director of the After School Program I led educational games and group activities in a safe, nurturing, engaging environment. I took a refresher CPR course to prepare for my recent position as a PT Nanny. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with this sweet child and his family (until they relocated), and I look forward to more "nanny-ing"!

Robin is WONDERFUL. I have a now 11-month-old who is very sweet but VERY clingy to his mama, and Robin has had the patience of a saint in getting to know him. She was seemingly unflappable if he had a meltdown when I wasn't nearby, keeping her voice calm and gently adjusting the situation to help him settle down. She was always on time, great about following up and confirming appointment times, offered extra help and invited us to additional activities out of house so my son could get more familiar and comfortable with her. It's obvious that she is an excellent mother and now grandmother (supported by the fact that she's so close with her children) who is willing to share wisdom from her experiences when asked, but never preferred unsolicited advice or judgement on my mothering skills. We're unfortunately moving out of the state, but I would frankly bring Robin with me if I could :-) As an added bonus, she's wonderful to talk to and I truly enjoyed seeing her every time she was here to help out!
