Wow, where to start. I started taking care of my grandmother when I was about 13. She had had a brain aneurysm and basically had to relearn everything. Later on in life, although I have been managing restaurants, some personal events changed my profession for me. My husband got ill with late stage colon cancer and a brain aneurysm, and I cared for him until his death. A friend of mine asked if I could watch her grandmother while they went deer hunting. I watched Miss Gladys for five years. I was with her from the beginning of her dementia until her passing. During that time her physical therapist told others about me and before I knew it I had many clients. I worked for an agency for a little while to get extra training and then I started working for myself. I care about each and everyone of my clients like they are family.
Robin is the best! She was a care taker for my mom for many years, until she passed away. More then a care taker she was mom's friend. Robin is one of the kindest persons I've ever met, always arrived on time and was happy to help in any way she could.
