Wonderful, responsible, mature and physically able caregiver available to help you and your family with special care needs. I have primarily been with one family in Chestnut Hill (Newton) for 12 years, having helped raise their three kids. I began with them when their two daughters were 4 and 1 and continued working full-time when their son was born in 2005 - from the day he came home from the hospital through today. Although now I just work weekends and the occasional evening for them. For this family in Chestnut Hill, in addition to caring for the three children, I managed the house, did kids' laundry, did light housekeeping, took them to doctors, traveled with the family on vacations, house sat and took care of multiple pets. I also was deeply involved in the kids' activities, organized play dates and took them to activities. I take great pride in my work and really focus on each child's developmental needs and play. From getting on the floor and playing with toys to doing artwork, helping with arts and crafts activities, homework, to outdoor fun like soccer, playing ball, scooting, biking and water play in the summer. I really like to engage with the person with whom I'm working. Personally, I have a son of my own whom I raised myself and he's now a freshman in a School in Malden. I was born and raised in Everett and Malden and have worked all over Boston and western suburbs as well. I know all the parks, playgrounds,, and places to go with kids. I have a car and often transport kids in my car. In addition to the family in Chestnut Hill, I have cared for twin boys also from Newton, from ages 6 through 8, both of whom have developmental and behavioral issues involving strict behavioral modification program and meal time management. Lastly, I have worked with other families, including one in Beacon Hill and another family in Newton with three boys (now ages 3, 6, and 8).
