About Rivi

Hi! My name is Rivi, and I am a preschool teacher and experienced caregiver who has been working in the field for about a decade now. I'm 30 years old and live in Berkeley. I work as an early childhood educator at the JCC East Bay, where I've been working for the past 5. 5 years. I love arts and crafts, storytelling, and early childhood education, and I want to encourage a love of learning through creativity and play. I have a BA in Psychology and all of my ECE units, so I am fully teacher qualified. I specialize in the Reggio-Emilia approach to ECE: prioritizing learning through play, seeing the child as a capable and active constructor in their learning, and encouraging creativity through play and self expression. I don't have a car, but can get to and from jobs on my own. In my free time, I love reading, creative writing, and crafts (knitting and sewing in particular). I also rock climb (indoor bouldering) and love reading. I hope you'll find me as a good fit for your family!
