About Rita

I have done many different types of things in my life, but perhaps the most enjoyable experiences have been the physical caring of other people. Until this past September, I worked overnights caring for a handicapped married couple in their home. The job was perfect for me, as there was no heavy lifting involved. I passed medications and handled bathroom needs. Prior to that, I helped care for my Mom and in-laws until their passings. My father-in-law was severely brain damaged after some surgery, and he was total care, including tube feedings. Many years ago, I worked as a Patient Care Technician at Strong on an Oncology-Gynecology unit. The work involved care primarily of post-surgical patients, including bathing and ambulating. Of my many life experiences, I have enjoyed caring for others more than anything. I am hoping to find something where I can put the gifts the Lord has given me to use.
