My experience with kids started personally with my nieces and nephews when I would babysit for my family. I provided daycare services at a church I attended in the past, I worked with infants & intermediate kids during the services. We did things like singing, reading, snacks, learning about scriptures. During HS, I did cheer and we held a camp every yr for K-5th grade to perform during our halftime for the families. Lots of hands on time with the kids. I babysat (pay incl.) for a friend for about 3 yrs prior to her moving. She had 3 kids, 2 boys (5 & 7) & a girl (3). She worked nights, so I got the kids fed, bathed, and ready for bed, as well as get the oldest up, ready, and on the bus next morning. I helped her tidy the house, some mornings I would stay and let her sleep while I kept over the other two until she was rested back up. Kids are just pure raw energy in the best way. We have the chance to guide them, and there is just something very precious about playing a part in that.
