I currently work full time as a teacher's assistant at Stars Preschool which provides for children with all abilities ages 3-5. I have worked with the special needs population since March of 2024 and have a 4-year-old brother who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In the summers I work as a camp counselor at the Art Center of Rochester which is also open to children with all abilities, and have for over a year. Personally I think that I have a great connection with the kids that I work with and take their health and safety very seriously. I work hard to maintain a clean and safe classroom, and I feel that I'm very flexible with accommodating any child's specific needs. It's easy for me to get on a kid's level and see things from their perspective. What would be fun for them? What interests them and engages their learning skills? I'd describe my personality as responsible, thoughtful, and accommodating.
