About Richard

I am a highly patient, empathetic, and friendly caregiver with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with special needs. I am passionate about helping people meet their individual goals and needs in a healthy and positive manner. My career has allowed me to work with diverse populations. I was a special ed substitute and an employee of the Duval County Schools system. Additionally, I have extensive experience working in residential facilities, supporting both children and adults with complex physical and cognitive disabilities. Along with my professional background is my personal experience: prior to re-entering the work force three years ago, I was a stay at home parent prior to re-entering the workforce full-time, I was a stay-at-home parent to my son and daughter for 7 years. These experiences of caring directly for individuals has taught me how to provide compassionate, safe, and reliable care while prioritizing the dignity and individuality of those I support.
